“When I think about the medical journey that I’ve been on with Dr. Stringer, the one phrase that comes to my mind is, “I wish I met her YEARS ago.” For so many years, I’ve been running myself into the ground trying to function on what felt like barely enough energy to get through the morning, let alone an entire day of being a mom, wife, and employee. If I had a dollar for every time someone, even doctors, told me I just have a lot on my plate and it’s normal to feel tired, have a lack of sex drive, and feel like I have fog in my brain, I would be very rich! I’ve had constant battles with being tired from not sleeping well, having unbalanced hormones, gut issues (constipation), and never feeling like I ate well. I would try all of the popular diet plans and workout but I still felt awful, didn’t lose weight, and actually felt like my workouts got HARDER, instead of easier over time.
After beginning my discovery journey with Dr. Stringer, I have learned so much about MY body and what I need. It wasn’t instantly easy but it has been so worth it. It took some time for my body to adjust but within a month, I was a new woman. I sleep so much better, I don’t wake up with puffy eyes anymore, I feel clearheaded, I don’t feel deprived of certain foods that I love, I am ready for my work day and my workouts without having to give myself caffeine and a huge pep talk. I am a better wife and mom because I feel good! This is still a process and I am continually learning and growing but, in my opinion, it’s so worth it. I finally feel heard and I was right – my body needed more than I was giving it.
If I had to give every woman one piece of advice, it’s listen to your body. You are not making it up and you are not overthinking it. You know yourself and it’s time to take care of YOU so you can be the best mom, wife, and employee! You deserve to be happy, healthy, and THRIVING.
